“No matter what some agency may say, we have always been and always will be a triple-A country,” Obama said in a speech recently.
This statement really does say a lot about what Obama thinks actually fixes problems. He might as well be saying “we have always been and always will be immune to the laws of Economic Science.” Is he serious?
This is what you get when a person is right-brain dominant and severely lacks left brain functions. The right side of the brain is the emotional side. It is responsible for feelings, fantasy, and deals with the subjective. The left side of the brain is objective, and is responsible for math and science. It is the logical part of the brain.
Does Obama believe the United States became the greatest country on earth because of its location, or maybe the confidence of its citizens? Does he believe he can follow the same policies as the previous president and end up with a different result, as long as he instills confidence? It’s almost as if he thinks his job is to make people feel good. That is how he got elected in the first place; using vague terms to allow the emotional to construct in their mind whatever image they were in need for.
He was a blank page, that voters would fill up with whatever they wanted him to be. Obama was a subjective candidate. Many conservative-leaning independents were actually convinced Obama had some conservative in him. All he had to do was utter the words “personal responsibility.”
I got the following table from this page, where you can read more about the left and right brain.
|Left Brain Functions||Right Brain Functions|

There is nothing wrong with being right-brain dominant. We need both sides, as each performs very important functions. I wish I were more balanced myself. I’m left-brain dominant and sometimes wish my right brain were more developed. As you can see however, someone lacking in the left side of the brain is not well suited for problem-solving, for problems that require analysis, attention to detail, and depending on the problem, an ability to work with numbers.
But the president has experts, you may say. They work day and night on solving these issues, so the president doesn’t have to be an expert in them. Well, if the experts are wrong, which they often are, how would the president know? This is the problem we have today. The country is being run by the same “experts” who have been wrong time and time again, while the president acts as the country’s spokesperson.
Right-brain qualities are great for getting elected, but useless for solving economic problems. The right brain is stubborn because it focuses on emotions, which explains why the left refuses to understand that there are unintended consequences to their solutions, which are often driven by good intentions. They don’t want to stop and analyze. They focus only on the result they want, but not on the best way to get there, so they pick those solutions that require the least amount of thought. People don’t make enough money? Establish a minimum wage. Sick people have to pay too much for insurance? Make insurance companies cover them at the same price as everyone else. Problems fixed! Except they are not. They get worse.
Right-brain individuals make great politicians and community organizers, not problem-solvers. Now, just so we don’t get duped again, maybe we should be looking for the next president to be someone with left brain capabilities; someone whose job before becoming a politician required him to do some real world problem-solving. Maybe a doctor? 😉
